augustusdes I think a lot of 80s stuff was deeper than 90s stuff but it's a matter of perspective and what people consider deep or shallow at the time. I thought grunge, rap, and alternative was very shallow in the early 90's. All that screaming like people were pretending to be deep simply by screeming and dressing all grungy. I though Nurvana was a big corporate created fake band while most my friends back then though groups like Nurvana were very deep. I now think its a matter of perspective.

This song doesn't seem as bad as everyone makes it out to be.
It's certainly not as great as most of his older stuff.
But it's biggest fault is that it sounds like typical 80s music.
It doesn't feel like Bowie, it feels like the eighties.
ANyone know what I mean?
